The idea to write an e-book full of recipes has been floating around for a while now. One day, I decided “why not just do it?”
I wanted to make a plant-based eating recipe book that focuses on gluten-free eating as well. There are plenty of vegan, gluten-free recipe books out there but most of them use ingredients that are hard to find. The majority of vegan, gluten-free recipes that I find in books or on pinterest list items like arrowroot, xanthan gum, spices I can’t pronounce and other things I’ll probably buy for that particular recipe and never use again. My aim is to only use east-to-find, common ingredients that you probably already have in your kitchen.
I’m using the words “plant-based” because a lot of the recipes will be just that, based on plants. I don’t like to use the word vegan because A) I don’t consider myself vegan and B) I feel like there is such a stigma associated with the word and I want to reach a larger market.
Some of the recipes in the book will have non-vegan, meat-eater friendly options as well in order to cater to those who frequently or occasionally add animal protein to their diet.
